Washington Montgomery Bartlett (February 29, 1824 – September 12, 1887) was an American printer, lawyer, and politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he notably served as Governor of California from January 1887 until his death. Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area.
